Andy Griffin Show fun facts:

Who doesn’t LOVE the great fun of the Andy Griffith Show??  Many of us grew up with the well-loved “family” and cast of the early 60’s beloved Mayberry hit.  In going thru some of the show’s fun facts I found these 2 plates that show quirky behind the scenes fun.

The A1A plate’s worn appearance turn the Drive Safely slogan into an odd “DRLUE GAFTDEYE”; also unique to the plate is the state—NOTH CAPOLNJA.  I’m not sure spell check would have caught these?? How appropriate that this was featured on the Governor’s vehicle, an episode in which Deputy Fife tickets the illegally parked government car.

The second plate pictured was more of a regular as opposed to an irregular.  The plate itself was used on different cars throughout the series.

Either one you choose is sure to bring a pleasant reminder of “simpler times, simpler life”!!!
