Abstract: We revisit the question of why shifts in aggregate demand drive business cycles. Why is there a minus sign in front of imports? They can however, suggest when confidence is rising or falling, as well as when it is relatively high or low compared to the past. The aggregate demand curve can shift depending on certain factors.
