The pattern only says turn your work, doesn’t say when to pick up wraps but has a stitch count (369 sts) after some rows. I think it might be an issue of translation of a pattern that started in French so it’s a little odd in English (plus I don’t know where you’re located but it’s in British English). Is this normal? Keep the yarn in front. If it’s garter stitch DON’T pick up the wrap. That’s what your pattern is doing.Thank you very much for your explanation.

I’m going to rip back to where I picked up the wrap and stitch to see if that is where I goofed. Bring the yarn to the back of the work as if to knit.

Repeat last row 13 times more — 60 sts remain. Correctly done, the wrap and turn prevents a hole from appearing at the points where you turned the piece to work in the other direction. The wrap should be on the purl (WS) of the fabric.If knitting the next stitch, take the yarn between the needles to the back.If purling the next stitch, bring the yarn between the needles to the front.
