Yet the same Kathy Britton and Perry Homes were turning a blind eye to the vets in my neighborhood.

Wesley Hunt is a strong leader who has dedicated his time in military service and volunteer work to protecting our country and improving the Houston area. Every law that was put in place to protect neighborhoods like mine had a blind eye turned to them on every level of local government.

The winner of the Republican primary will take on Fletcher in November in a race that has already been identified by both major political parties as a must-win in 2020.Hunt said he’s always been a Republican, adding that growing up in a household with three West Point graduates, voters can be assured he’s pretty conservative.“I’m very upset with the direction she is taking us,” said Laique Rehman, a Republican businessman making his first run for Congress.“She voted with the Democrats to try to force President Trump back into the Paris Climate Agreement and we know for a fact that she voted for impeachment,” Siegel said.“2008 Democrats,” Hunt told the standing room only, sold-out crowd of over 100 people.“I bet a lot of people in this room did the same thing,” Hunt said, adding that he has no regrets over the vote.Hunt said he didn’t vote in subsequent primary elections in Texas because he went on active duty in the Army and went to Cornell University in New York for his master's degree and was not in the Houston area.Most of the other 5 candidates in the race for the Republican nomination said their last primary votes were in the 2018 GOP primary.Hunt said he knows Fletcher has tried to make herself appear more friendly to the oil and gas economy of Texas, but said she’s not doing enough on that front.

And if calling attention to the fact of this and trying to say it’s a dirty political trick, then prove it wrong. Hunt works for Perry Homes and I wanted to ask him about Bob Perry’s efforts to establish Houston as a sanctuary city.
