The banks of the Sabinal are great for folks looking to sit back and stay awhile, as vacation rentals, lodging, and cabins are just across the way near Garner State Park. I am researching sunfish and the first step of my project is catching them.

All three rivers are within 50 miles of each other providing the most concenrated super clear water fishing in the State of Texas giving a thrilling sight casting experience you will never forget. The Sabinal River is a small stream, which can be accessed through Vanderpool and Utopia, but the area from Lost Maples State Natural Area to the small town of Sabinal offers the best fishing.
